1. Start by changing all of your old incandescent light bulbs. While the upfront cost of an incandescent bulb is comparatively low, their high energy consumption means that they could end up costing several times their retail price over their standard lifetime.
2. Switch to LED lights. Buying LED GU10 for general lighting is relatively expensive, but the bulbs have an incredibly long life span (over 50,000 hours) and most will only cost a few pence to run. 3. Choose an LED GU10. LED GU10 Bulbs are designed as direct replacements for existing GU10 spotlights and are available in a range of equivalent wattages.
